The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) promotes wind power at the European and international level. EWEA members include manufacturers covering 98 per cent of the global wind power market, including component suppliers, research institutes, national wind and renewables associations, developers, electricity providers, finance and insurance companies and consultants. With more than 250 members from over 40 countries EWEA is the world’s largest renewable energy association. On behalf of its members, EWEA’s mission is to influence key policies affecting the wind power industry. Policy areas include energy, electricity, renewables, internal market, R&D, grid infrastructure, planning, climate change and environment. Located in Brussels, the EWEA secretariat co-ordinates international policy, communications, research and analysis. EWEA manages European programmes, hosts events and supports the needs of its members.
